Grace will still only walk when we work with her, she doesn't see it as an efficient means of transportation when she really wants something. I'm hopefully that when she starts walking some of the things she's constantly messing with, will be low enough that she will stop noticing them. Have I mentioned that not only can she open the baby gate but she can also remove the outlet covers from the plugs. She's very proud to crawl over and hand them to me. Stinker! She also has a new favorite thing to mess with.....
....notice she had to roll back the rug to get to the register, because I thought covering it might take care of the problem....silly me!
She's also working hard at hiding my cell phone, the remotes, whatever else she can find....
...It's a good thing I watched her do this, can you imagine how long it would have taken me to find my phone inside Noah's ark?
Maggie and Arnie had a lunch date at Norfolk Iron today. She loves when they get to do that, they pick up jimmy john's and go back to the office. When I got there to pick her up, the first thing she told me was "MOM, dad let me have my own diet coke." That should help with nap time! Then she told me that today she started on the BROWN DRAWERS at school. The drawers are color coded and have different reading words and pictures in them to match up. She didn't use to mention them to us very often, she must be flying through them now because every day she reports on her progress. She only has a couple more colors and then she'll be a "reader" and get to use workbooks, she's so excited she can hardly stand it.
On the way home Maggie also declared that she is going to have a contest to help decide her new nickname, currently the winner is Chuck, but I guess she's open to suggestion.
Grace is getting really good at a few words and every day it seems like she learns a handful of new ones. Unfortunately for Reagan, today she's been practicing (and getting really good at) wagging her finger and saying (loudly) DOG SIT! DOG SIT!
That's just what Reagan wanted, one more kid trying to tell her what to do!
