Lincoln

Maggie's class took a field trip to Lincoln a couple of weeks ago and I got to ride along. We toured Morrill Hall, Memorial Stadium and the Capitol. The kids had a great time and it was fun to get to be with them.

Maggie and her friend Lane were supposed to be arguing a case about ice cream in
front of the state Supreme Court.

I think they won :)
I'm so glad she still wants me to tag along when she does things with her friends, I have a feeling those days are fleeting.

yoga and pumpkins....

The girls and I have been taking some Yoga classes together and this weekend our teacher taught a class in the park. It was fun to be outside.

We spent the second half of the weekend in Omaha. Arnie flew to Chicago on Sunday to watch the clubs play.
This morning I got to go on a field trip with Gracie's class to the pumpkin patch. It was damp and wet, the kids got back on the bus very dirty but they had a great time.

back on the bus!

The many faces of Haddie :)

Haddie is six months old already! I can't really remember life without her, but it's almost impossible to believe that she's half way to a year old. Thankfully her reflux issues seem to be subsiding, as long as she gets fed she's a really happy girl.

If you want to see just how mad she can get, give her a pizza crust and then take it away!

Arnie Update

Arnie and I were planning on heading for Rochester in a couple of hours....but plans change. He had a CT last week, and Thursday after viewing it his attending doctor called and said he hadn't healed enough for surgery yet. So we continue to wait. The infection is gone but the inflammation the remains is still significant. As long as he's feeling good, they want to continue to give his body time to heal, hoping he'll be in the best shape possible when they operate. In 6 weeks they'll do another scan and then we'll make a plan from there. It looks like surgery will likely be sometime in early December.

We were both really disappointed we couldn't just go and deal with it, but we understand this is what gives him the best chance of full recovery. Thank you for all the support. Keep the prayers coming.

Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

We made a quick trip to Albuquerque this weekend for the Balloon Fiesta. Almost the entire Robinson family gathered at Aunt Gwen and Uncle Dwight's for a great weekend. We didn't have the best balloon weather but we got to see part of a glow and one morning flight. Next time we'll go during the week when the crowds are less and stay a few more days so if the weather is bad we have more chances to see the balloons. What we did get to see was amazing. Hundreds of balloons all being filled and taking off at the same time. The girls loved the balloon fiesta and we all enjoyed the family weekend.
Haddie's first flight!

Maggie catching up on the news and waiting for a go/no go decision on the balloon glow!

They must not have gotten the scary clown memo!

Here they go!

One of our favorite Doctors from Norfolk had his balloon at the fiesta. The girls got to get up close
while he got it ready to fly.

Proof that Haddie was there too :)

Gracie loved this pink and purple balloon.

Aunt Gwen and Uncle Dwight's neighbors have Alpacas. The girls really liked them. Right after this picture this puffy white
one spit on Maggie! She couldn't stop laughing long enough to be upset.

Haddie's ready for a nap on the way home!

I'm so glad Aunt Gwen had someone come yesterday and take a picture of the whole bunch....because I didn't think to take one!
