Madison County Fair

I just realized the handy dandy phone ap I was trying to use to write blog posts occasionally wasn't posting them all....I haven't been quiet as MIA as it seems....
Maggie has been counting down the days to the 2017 Madison County Fair for 4 years. She was finally old enough to show 4H animals. It was a hot week and lots of work but she LOVED every minute of it!
Wrigley and Maggie won Reserve Champion in Dog Showmanship.
Gracie submitted her Mickey quilt and a pillowcase in the Cloverbud category. This was her first year to participate, she loved seeing her work on display and winning a ribbon for each.
Haddie didn't love the fair, but for the most part she put up with it!
I think Maggie was the first rider to have her chores done and be in the arena practicing each day.
Gracie wants a bucket calf, lucky for her Grandpa said it could live at his house :)
Maggie was so excited to have Grandma & Pops come watch Thursday and Gramdma, Grandpa, Elsie, Aunt Joyce and Uncle Lee come on Friday. She and Honey had a great show 2 purples, 3 blues and 2 reds!
This morning we sent Honey back to the barn, brought the camper home and did laundry quick to be ready to head for the beach tomorrow!

Hair!

The girls wanted Haddie to have a ponytail today....I don't think she was impressed :)

O'Brien Camping...

I didn't take nearly enough pictures during our annual camping trip! Pictures or not, we had a great time, ate too much and laughed a lot!

Great- Grandma and Haddie shared and interesting headband :)

I think it's pretty amazing these kids have a Great-Grandma that camps with them, at 90! She's pretty cool!

Misc Pictures....

I asked Gracie what happened to Haddie's forehead....she said, "nothing, why?"....I think there might be more to the story!

Thursday night we went to Wisner for a 4H horse show, Maggie got 2 events in before the storm, then we had to load up quick!

Last week the big girls and I went to a painting class. They both loved it but Gracie definitely wants to be an artist!

As soon as we dropped Maggie off at camp Gracie asked if we could stop at the store for some of "that magic dough growing stuff" because she wanted to make cinnamon rolls....so that's what we did!

The house

It's been way too long since I posted any pictures of the house progress. It's coming along beautifully! We can't wait to live there. We're hoping sometime in September!

Church Camp!

Maggie decided that this year she was ready to go to church camp for a few days. She was there from Sunday to Wednesday. She had a great time and I'm SO proud of her for trying a few new things. She was a little nervous but she had a great time and will definitely go back!
