July

I can't believe July is almost over. My kids only have 2 more weeks of summer vacation :( I can't imagine sending them back....I vote we have another month! We are headed to Lincoln for Brandon's wedding and then to Colorado. When we get home it'll be time to buy school supplies (Gracie's been asking every day ALL summer) and start going to bed at a decent time again!

The week after the 4th Gracie got to have her Grandma and Grandpa Days in Omaha. She had such a good time and relishes in being the center of attention and having Grandma and Grandpa all to herself!

While Gracie was in Omaha, Maggie and I spent a few mornings at the barn. One day she talked me into washing
and braiding Jude's tail. Add that to the list of things I never thought I'd do!

Our house is coming along. The basement floor is finally finished and some of the beams are going up. I'm really hoping
when we get home from Colorado we'll start to see some framing!

While Gracie was in Omaha she developed an obsession for the movie Parent Trap and Oreos with Peanut Butter.

Maggie and Arnie working on their drone flying skills.

Haddie was VERY excited for Bri's baby shower :)

Right before they poured the basement floor....

Haddie is growing like a weed. Last time we checked she weighed 15 lbs, I'm guessing she's added a couple since then. She sleeps great and loves to be wherever her sisters are. She still needs a weekly visit to the chiropractor and her reflux medicine to be a happy baby, but as long as she get's those she's all smiles (and giggles!)

Crazy hair night at Bible School!

Gracie's crazy hair cupcakes!

The other night the girls slept in curlers. Gracie looked at herself in the mirror about 4 times an hour, she loved her fancy curls!

Last Sunday Maggie and Arnie played in a adult/child golf tournament. It was Maggie's first 18 hole round. They
won the girls 12 and under division. I think they both had a really good time!

HELP! Gracie dressed me and she keeps adding accessories! When does school start??

It's all hands on deck around here when we can beans!

Haddie's favorite toy!

FAIR!!!

This year we took the Motorhome to the fair and set up camp. Maggie can't show Jude at the fair until next year, but she got to help her barn friends take care of their horses and get them ready to show (did you know at the fair you have to have your chores done by 7am????). She loved it.
Gracie's one of a kind style was on display all week :)

Blue Ribbon and 1st place for her doll outfit.

Blue ribbon and 1st place for her doll quilt too!

Gracie had a corndog a day...she would have had 2, but her mean mom stopped her!

Making rope!

Maggie learning to throw a rope.

She even got the roping dummy once! Aunt Joyce & Uncle Lee came to spend the day at the fair with us
and got to witness Maggie's roping skills!

The four legged children went to the fair too.

When Gracie found out there was a cat show she HAD to see it. We walked through the pouring rain to get there, and she was completely
disappointed when she found out the cats didn't do any tricks.

Haddie spent the first few days of the fair in Omaha with Grandma and Grandpa, she came back just in time for one last rodeo. It was chilly so
we had to break out some shoes!
Saturday Morning Maggie showed Wrigley in the dog show. They did great. They got 2nd place (Maggie prefers to call it Reserve Champion) in Showmanship and 3rd place in obedience. The judge was wonderful and helped Maggie a ton. She will be so much more ready next year!

Thank goodness there was a playground next to the dog show!

It wouldn't be the fair without rides....

....and junk food!

The fair is exhausting!

Summer Catch-Up 3

more pictures.....

Last Tuesday evening the girls had a special ride, even though we didn't know it at the time. While they were riding they had the chance to FaceTime with Gramma Lea and Papa. They had such a good time showing off their horses and each had a chance to talk to Gramma Lea, we didn't know then that that would be the last conversation they would have with her. What a blessing it is they got to show her something they love so much.

Hugs from Breezy.

Last week the big girls got their eyes checked....

....everyone checked out great!

and Haddie slept through it :)

Gracie took pictures of her eyes all day, she couldn't believe how big her pupils were.

We got home from the eye doctor and the girls got a new toy in the mail from Aunt Lori...when your eyes are dilated you
need sunglasses to use an ipad!

Haddie has been fighting a case of Thrush :( a quick coat of purple medicine this week and things seem
to be better. Gracie will be so jealous that Haddie gets purple lipstick!
