Cabo 4, The Beach

One day we loaded up the whole crew and lots of beach toys and headed for a calmer beach. El Dorado has a pretty beach but most of the year it's too rough to really play in the water.  We had a great time. Almost everyone learned to surf, we snorkeled, paddle boarded and canoed. It was a great day.

When you take new people someplace you've been a zillion times, sometimes you have to do new things....I was perfectly happy in my beach chair, but the boys challenged us to a game of kickball, so we laced up our tennis shoes and beat them (that might not be exactly how they remember it....)

Never let it be said that I'm not a team player...Ben was having trouble with his ears, we tried a lot of google remedies...(including

Blessed!

We are SO blessed (for a zillion reasons) but one of the greatest is our amazing friends! In a fairly spur of the moment decision we decided to head to Cabo with the Ries' and the Carlisles. We planned the entire trip in less then 3 weeks, it was CRAZY! Jen and her kids had to drive to Minneapolis in order to get passports in time, we had to secure 14 plane tickets, the whole thing was nuts....but you know what? It was perfect! We had the best time, we got to share one of our favorite places with some of our favorite people and it was amazing. I wouldn't change a single thing. 14 people traveled there and back together, stayed in the same house, cooked in the same kitchen, and we enjoyed every minute.

 

It's going to take a handful of posts to get all the pictures I want recorded posted. You'll notice from the pictures, we left Haddie at home. I hated to leave her behind, but it ended up being the right decision. She had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa and we were able to do a lot of things we couldn't have done with a baby in tow. She can come next time :)

This is actually in the airport on the way home. These 2 amazing woman are precious to me and my family!

 

 

Once we got there it didn't take us long to settle in and get busy having a great time!

 

I took a puzzle with us that I thought would take us all week (working occasionally) to finish....turns out when you have a house full of over achievers you can't focus on ANYTHING else until the puzzle is finished. It will forever be one of my favorite memories of the trip. We had the best time around the table working on it. We finished it in less then 48 hours and everyone was a part of the fun.

 

 

We were running late for dinner but we couldn't stop until it was done, it was all hands on deck :)
