We've been home several days now, I can't believe how long it can take to catch up. We had a great time on vacation. Disney Cruise Lines was heads and tails above any other cruise we've been on. We had mediocre weather, REALLY rough seas and were quarantined for 24 hours, but we still want to do it again.....they must have done something right :)
These pictures are a little out of order (and there are a ton, so scroll quickly), but you'll get the idea.
| Good thing I packed a couple of games. We needed them when we were locked up! |
| LET ME OUT!!! |
| One TOUGH pirate :) |
| Ice Cream before dinner, why not? |
| Maggie was still a little afraid of characters at the beginning, but by the end, she was hugging them. |
| One of the dining rooms on the ship is dedicated to animation, so Maggie drew a picture of Arnie.... |
| ....and a little Disney magic made him dance. (the 2nd one from the left) |
They have lots of cool kid foods on the boat, this was "decorate your own cupcake". Gracie wondered where
the chocolate was....good question :) |
| Gracie and Arnie got to spend lots of quality time together the day Maggie and I were locked up. |
| A little pedicure on the balcony while the brave Cabin Steward cleaned our room. |
In Cozumel Arnie and Maggie went on a submarine ride. They both loved it.
Notice, even Arnie is wearing Mickey :) it's because Grace begged him too :) |
| Maggie and the Cruise director. |
| A little more dancing before we get off the boat. |
If you take a blank pillow case with you, the cruise line will have all the characters sign it and
deliver it to your room. They brought Maggie hers while she was sick, it was a nice surprise. |
| A quick round of golf on a WINDY day. |
The last day was our beach day. Disney's private Island was really nice and we FINALLY had a little sun shine. The girls loved playing on the beach and in the water. It's so much calmer then the ocean they are used to seeing in Cabo.
| WOW! They have ice cream on the island too :) |
I'm not sure you can see him, but there is a 3 dimensional Dumbo hanging off the
back of the ship....I think maybe Gracie thought he was real :) |
| A few quick braids to wear home. |
| One last dinner.... |
| ....a little more ice cream! |
| even a bite for mommy! |
And then we headed for home....
When Gracie picked this giant Minnie pillow as her souvenir, I thought we would regret it half one home....Exactly the opposite. She slept from before we took off until right before we landed. Thanks Minnie!
I've said it before, and I hope I get to keep saying it....we have the worlds best travelers!
It was so nice to get away and have a week together! I wish I could be on vacation all the time....but I suppose then it wouldn't be vacation!
